The function of the chorus in Agamemnon:

1- Flashback technique.
2- To give the audience a kind of suspense.
3- Irony.
4- The chorus consists of (old men) it means (wisdom).
5- sometimes comment on actions but when it speaks with any character it's role is turned to be an actor.

The function of the chorus in Electra:

1- The chorus consists of (females) to sympathize with Electra and to support her.
2- As a motive.
3- The chorus acts as an actor because it speaks with Electra.
